Our DDA Program
In 2010, Renoxx Caregivers began with the vision to serve children with Autism. Understanding how vital the transitional phase into adult services is for individuals with disabilities and their families, it became imperative for Renoxx Caregivers to expand services to include adults with autism, intellectual, and other developmental disabilities.
As of March 2017, Renoxx Caregivers became a licensed provider for the Developmental Disabilities Administration. We understand everyone faces their own barriers as they attempt to achieve their personal goals. Our Renoxx DDA Team will work hand in hand with each individual and their families, to ensure everyone achieves greater independence and develops strategies for increasing regular opportunities for personal growth and development.
Our DDA Mission Statement
The mission of Renoxx Caregivers, Inc. is to improve the lives of individuals with intellectual and other disabilities and their families by providing a variety of high-quality services. Our services to individuals with disabilities will yield a greater sense of:
- Independence – to participate and integrate fully in the community and be productive.
- Empowerment – to choose the services and supports that meet their needs.
- Personalized and Quality Support – to address the specific needs of both the individual and the family while maximizing individual growth and development.
- Person-Centered Planning Approach – to focus on an individual’s abilities and preferences.
Our DDA Vision Statement
Renoxx Caregivers envisions a future in which all people, including those living with developmental and other disabilities, are fully included, participating members of their communities. We see equitable access to supports and services that reflect the preferences and values of diverse communities and that lead to self-determination, independence, productivity, and a healthy and satisfying quality of life.
Our Core Values
At Renoxx Caregivers, we operate from the philosophy and principles that individuals with intellectual disabilities and their families should control their own destiny. As such, our organization is guided by the following philosophy and values:
- Normalization: Renoxx Caregivers believes that the lifestyles of individuals with intellectual disabilities should be as normal as possible, and they should have maximum control over their own lives with the right to pursue their own individual preferences and desires, and the satisfaction of their needs.
- Protection of Individuals’ Rights: We believe that individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities have the same basic rights as individuals who do not have these conditions.
- Competency and Skill Development: We strongly believe that every individual has the capacity for development and should be encouraged to achieve his or her highest potential and greatest degree of independence and be allowed to experience the consequences of success or failure from their choices and decisions.
- Status Enhancement: We believe that people develop best with the least amount of restriction and the greatest possible beauty, comfort, happiness, love, security and sense of belonging.
- Community Inclusion & Connections: We believe that individuals with intellectual disabilities should receive support, services and resources that will enable them to live fulfilling lives. To promote community inclusion and connections, Renoxx Caregivers staff must actively support an individual’s natural relationship with his/her family, friends, neighbors, and fellow workers.
Our Implementation Approach
Our implementation approach and guidelines include the following components:
- Utilize the “This is Your Life” Person-centered planning assessment tool;
- Identification of goals and objectives based on what is truly important to and about the individual;
- Identify desired personal outcomes that help to determine the supports and services needed;
- Implement the Person-Centered Plan(PCP) and working with the PCP team members as a unified focus for the individual; and
- Conduct ongoing evaluation of the effectiveness of the progress, with modifications made as necessary to maintain and/or increase both the effectiveness and the efficiency of the intervention
